Our family would like to thank Sheridan Funerals for the kind, caring and extremely professional way they conducted my Dad, Ken McKay’s funeral on Tuesday 13th February 2024. Rebecca and her team took care of every little detail and were so kind and thoughtful in their manner. They took extra time to explain different options for the service and to talk through important decisions, making sure we understood and were happy with everything. Dad’s funeral needed to be arranged quickly and Sheridan Funerals were able to accommodate everything we needed even under difficult time constraints. Mum, myself and my Sister and Brother had complete confidence in the process and the result was a very beautiful service. I cannot thank Rebecca Sheridan and her Team enough for their care and support during a very difficult time for my family.

Saying good bye to a loved one is never easy. Rebecca took care of my father with the utmost care and respect. She supported our family with such empathy and love. Her knowledge about the industry is extensive, she was able to explain everything in detail and we felt at ease. She has experience with they way our culture celebrates our loved ones and she was always very respectful Rebecca has an amazing team behind her who are just as dedicated and as knowledgeable as she is Thank you for making this transition as less heart breaking for us. We will forever be grateful and I know my dad would have been smiling down on you

After losing my dad suddenly, and trying to deal with the shock, and not even knowing what needed to be done, I contacted Sheridan funerals. Rebecca and team went above and beyond to assist us in every way possible. losing a loved one is hard but having Sheridan funerals take care of my dad with respect and care eased the pain and the stress. Sheridan Funerals were of great support and comfort in our time of need , when we lost our Mother. Rebecca was helpful , comforting and caring . All my emails were answered quickly and Rebecca offered many great suggestions. Our mum had a lovely send off thanks to Rebecca and her team . My Husband had a wonderful journey back to NZ and you & your team took great care of him, ensuring he looked his best. A big huge shout out to Bec at Sheridan Funerals for taking the best care of our mum throughout the entire time we made contact with Bec! Being from NZ and afraid of leaving mum in a funeral home which isn’t normal in our custom as we stay with our loved ones right till they are buried and or cremated. Bec & Jay made this process that much more comforting from the first point of contact when we found out our mum didn’t have long to go, Bec was sincere and navigated us throughout the process from the beginning to the end. From mums passing to her cremation they were beside us all of the way, right up until us collecting mums ashes!! Bec & Jay you are both whanau now and we love and appreciate all you have done for us in our time of need. Your support has given us strength in the worse times in our lives. Rebecca and the rest of the team at Sheridan helped plan and conduct my parents' services with professionalism and compassion. They were understanding and accommodating even at very short notice and with a number of personalised requests, and were transparent and lent their honest experiences and recommendations about the options. I never felt pressured, upsold or like a number to be forgotten about after the service, and when I ran into clerical issues with the government registry, they were diligent about following up. I was able to trust Rebecca and her team to take a big load off my shoulders at an otherwise very stressful time. Thanks again for looking after my Mum and Dad with care and compassion.

I don’t have enough words to recommend how amazing Rebecca and her team at Sheridan Funerals are. From the first time meeting Rebecca she was warm, empathetic, caring, understanding and knowledgeable. We lost our daughter and we were very specific with how we wanted to celebrate her life. Rebecca and her team went above and beyond to meet all of our requests, no matter how big or small she made it happen. She always gave an honest opinion and offered different suggestions or options from her years of experience to what we wanted. She always kept the lines of communication open and updated us along the way. She had all the time in the world to explain to our youngest daughter about what was going to happen to help her understand and answered all of her questions. The day itself, as sad as it was, was that little bit brighter thanks to Sheridan Funerals. All the planning came together for a beautiful send off for our angel.
